Our company is a designated office in Turkey region as a deputy registrar under St. Kitts & Nevis International Ship Registry (SKANReg).

St. Kitts & Nevis International Ship Registry (SKANReg) commenced operation in 2005. By the end of 2017 had registered over 2000 vessels with 800+ currently registered with a total deadweight of 8.5M. It also has also issued seafarer documents to over 25,000 seafarers of many nationalities.

SKANReg has been active in assisting buyers, banks and lawyers involved in purchasing ships for recycling for many years. It is recognised for its sound Mortgage Legislation, which being based on English Law, is known, trusted and respected the world over.

Its Head Office is located on the outskirts of London spanning the time zones of the major shipping centres of the world.

 

INITIAL REGISTRATION

Applications for Registration (Provisional/Permanent or Special Purpose 3-month) can be made through the offices of our worldwide network of Maritime Registrars, a Service Provider in St. Kitts & Nevis or direct to the International Registrar of Shipping & Seamen at SKANReg Head Office.

Quotations for Registration Services can be obtained by submitting a written request for the Registration Service required.

Application Forms which include a list of documents required for Registration can be downloaded from this website. These can be submitted by email for Provisional Registration.

PROVISIONAL REGISTRATION

Any vessel that applies for a standard registration and is accepted will be registered Provisionally for 6 months. This allows you, the owner to collate all of the documents in original format, as per the “Achieve Permanent Registration Status” list of documents.

The date in which your vessel is registered with be referred by St. Kitts & Nevis International Ship Registry as the “Anniversary Date” or the ‘Date of First Registration”. This date will be used to calculate when the vessels annual taxes are due and when certificates are calculated for expiry.

Upon achieving Permanent Status, your vessels’ registration will be upgraded for a period of 4 years from the Date of First Registration.

Regardless of whether your vessel is provisionally or permanently registered, the vessel will incur annual fees as of the Anniversary date.

SPECIAL PURPOSE REGISTRATION

Special Purpose Registration is available for delivery voyages/one-off voyages/scrap voyages.

The period of registration is for 3 months only.

There is a simplified and speedier Registration procedure. Most registrations can be completed in one working day if all documents are correctly submitted at the one time.

A reduced rate of fees applies for such Registrations.
